The procurement supports an ongoing effort led by Compass Systems for the U.S. Navy Commander of Fleet Readiness Centers to introduce advanced manufacturing technologies at aircraft maintenance and repair facilities. Titomic Kinetic Fusion™ (TKF)™ cold spray is an additive kinetic metallization process that accelerates metallic particles at high velocity onto a substrate to deposit material without melting the feedstock. The process can be used to restore worn or damaged components to original engineering drawing dimensions, providing an additional repair capability for components that might otherwise require replacement or more extensive conventional repair with significant savings in time and material. "This marks Titomic’s second major aircraft maintenance related order from the U.S. military in just a few weeks, highlighting the growing adoption of our unique build and repair technology for aircraft maintenance,” said Jim Simpson, CEO & Managing Director of Titomic. ”This deployment showcases how Titomic Kinetic Fusion™ (TKF)™ cold spray capabilities can transition from engineering development into practical, real-world fleet sustainment. We are incredibly proud to partner with Compass Systems and the U.S. Navy to enhance repair capabilities and improve aircraft readiness." Compass Systems supports the integration of advanced manufacturing and operational technologies across aircraft maintenance environments, with an emphasis on transitioning proven technologies into capabilities that can address sustainment challenges, reduce component replacement requirements and support Fleet readiness. “Advanced manufacturing technologies such as cold spray have the potential to provide the Fleet with additional options for restoring critical aircraft components and improving sustainment capability,” said David Stricklin, Compass Systems, Inc. “Our objective is to work alongside the Navy’s engineering and maintenance communities to transition these technologies from development into practical repair capabilities that support aircraft readiness.” The award to Titomic provides for two TKF™623 medium-pressure cold spray systems and associated support. The systems will provide FRCSW personnel with equipment to further evolve cold spray repair development while establishing production-level capability for approved aircraft component repairs. This announcement has been authorized for release by Titomic’s Board of Directors. - - - - - END - - - - - 15091 AL Hwy 20 Madison, AL 35756 ABN: 77 602 793 644 info@titomic.com | titomic.com ABOUT TITOMIC LIMITED Titomic Limited (ASX: TTT) is a leading Advanced manufacturing company with global operations specializing in large integrated solutions for industrial- scale metal additive manufacturing, coating, and repairs using its patented kinetic fusion cold spray (Titomic Kinetic Fusion™) technology.
